As seen in "WHIRL", December 2008

Ronald & Brenda Maser, owners, Maser Galleries, with “Love Bug” by Pittsburgh native Burton Morris, original acrylic on canvas, $8,500, and “Flower Pot,” by Romero Britto, $650.

What do you think about art as an investment?

We always tell our customers to buy what they love, and then they can’t go wrong. While none of us can see the future, what you can be certain of is that when you buy art, you’re making an investment in yourself and you are enhancing your quality of life. When you purchase art, you have something tangible, something beautiful that can lift your spirits and bring you enjoyment for many years.

How do you determine what you show in your gallery?

We choose what we like and what we think others will like; it’s an instinctive thing. We find it exciting and gratifying to find young, talented artists that are just starting out, to carry their work and watch their careers bloom. Burton Morris is one of those artists we have been honored to represent since the beginning of his career.
